About Us

I’m Mike Glodowski, and I used to hate drilling holes—let me explain why.
I grew up in Jerome, Idaho, a small town famous for Evel Knievel’s failed 1974 jump across the Snake River Canyon. Life on the farm meant constant equipment repairs, usually on-site, with dull drill bits that felt like they were made in the 1800s. As a kid, drilling holes felt like it took forever—and honestly, it did.
After high school, I attended auto body and fender college. There, I drilled even more holes and realized I still hated it. Later, I spent years as a whitewater river guide on Idaho’s Middle Fork River, logging over 25,000 river miles. While I loved most of it, I often found myself repairing the outfitter’s equipment—yes, more drilling.

At one point, I owned an auto glass replacement business—finally, a break from drilling. Around that time, I remembered something my grade school teacher once told me: “You’re a dreamer.” She probably didn’t mean it as a compliment, but it turned out to be true. I invented a tool for cutting out windshields that not only made the job easier but also reduced strain on the body. It was a hit.
One day, I watched an auto body tech drilling holes and thought, “I’m so glad that isn’t me.” That’s when the light bulb went on. That afternoon, I built my first prototype for a portable drill press—and it was a total flop. But an hour later, I created a working version. I’ve been fine-tuning it ever since. Now, what used to take hours only takes seconds, and I actually enjoy drilling holes.
Hearing from customers about how the tool saves them time is incredibly rewarding. One told me drilling through one-inch steel used to take 40 minutes per hole. With my mobile drill press, it took just 10 minutes. He ordered more. Stories like that remind me why I love creating tools that make tough jobs easier.
It excites me to hear how my tool reduces drill time. One customer shared that he saved two-thirds of his drilling time per hole and felt less fatigued at the end of the day.
I thoroughly enjoy supplying a tool that enhances the drilling process. And I don’t hate drilling anymore. I’m proud to have invented something that helps people so they don’t have to hate drilling either. As they say, if something is hard, disliking it can be the greatest incentive to invent something that makes life easier.
